Voodudes Lighting Notes
About a quarter of the way through development we started to focus on lighting, which was a major element for creating the atmosphere of Voodudes. The team leads came up with a universal lighting scheme for the moon light source and the post processing in every level. But the level designers were responsible for setting up the lighting schemes in their own levels.
A majority of the light sources in the Market District were street lamps and lit building windows. The distant clock tower received lights for its lit windows, cyan colored lamps and a Virgil statue holding two flaming cauldrons.
